We hosted Inter Cheadle in our penultimate game of the season. Our trademark slow starts saw us a goal down within 5 minutes. For the 1st 20 minutes or so we let an older bigger team bully us but we then grew into the game. Will equalised for us & we made a few other chances in the 1st half.

We started the 2nd in the same way & conceded from another corner within 5 minutes. We did have most of the ball, competed but couldn’t find that final pass until George ran onto a through ball to bring us back level again.

We looked like we would go on to get the win until a harsh red card saw us down to 10 men for last 25 minutes. We were still the better team & made several opportunities but couldn’t find a goal. They fluked the winner with the last kick of the game. I can’t fault the efforts from the lads & gutted that our chance of the league title has ended. It’s a cruel game but still been a great season, 2nd in the league is a great achievement, hopefully we will feel some pride with this but currently feels really disappointing.
