U18’s travelled away to Altrincham FC with a lot of ‘regulars’ missing. The group of new lads look decent & we had the luxury of a proper keeper, Lucas, who was called into action early to make a fine save. We then played some very decent football 1st half which saw Omari put us 1vs0 up. We had a 2nd harshly disallowed when Harry looked about 3 yards on side. That became a pattern for most of the game IMHO, some iffy tackles on our lads saw them penalised. No excuses however for the lax marking that saw Altrincham equalise just before half time. Another defensive error early in the 2nd half put Altrincham 2vs1 up. We did make lots of chances but similar to last week, couldn’t put them away. I felt we deserved at least a draw but it will take time for the team to get used to playing together. We have some very good players, just up to us managers to get them to gel before the season (proper) starts.
