| Wythenshawe Amateurs | 1 |
| St Johns U12s | 3 |
A hard fought match played in a great spirit ended with a well deserved win for St. John-s. Even though we were down to only one substitute due to injuries, holidays and slow registrations the increased fitness of the boys made us competitive. The first half drew to a close with a nil nil scoreline but we had the better chances, with John on his debut league match, coming close from two good corners knock in by Sam. Benny and Dom has good attempts too just shooting wide. The defence was tight and Matt came out to clear a number of times to stifle any Wythenshawe attacks. Against the run of play early in the second half Wythenshawe stole a goal with a quick breakaway. But undaunted the lads soon got level with a good strike from Dom, then turned the pressure on a tiring opposition, with Kane following a shot in to slot home the keepers parry and Dom rounding the victory up with a solo run and shot for the third five minutes from time. The lads were very tired having put a lot into the game but it was a good reward and three points against a good team.
